Why does it take so long?
These are some of the factors that influence the amount of time required to repair your vehicle:
WEATHER: Hot and cold temperatures affect the way paint dries and cures. Time must also be allowed for solvents to escape.
REINSPECTIONS: If hidden damage is discovered while repairs are being performed we must stop, notify the insurance company and wait until their adjuster has had an opportunity to inspect the damage.
PREVIOUS REPAIRS: If your vehicle was previously repaired in the same general area, it is often necessary to correct the old repairs in order to guarantee the work we perform.
COLOR MATCH: All colors are slightly different. Even a new vehicle will require color tinting. Our technicians often take two or more hours to arrive at the correct color match.
PARTS: The repairs will be delayed: if hidden damage requires additional parts, or if the factory is unable to send us the part due to a backorder.
REASSEMBLY: We take great pains to prevent overspray and future paint peeling. All parts are removed from areas to be painted and blended. Our technicians reinstall these parts during the reassembly process. These steps require care and time, but are necessary to protect your vehicle's resale value and bring it to pre-accident condition.
WARRANTY: All repairs performed by Providence Auto Body Inc. are guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle.
We realize it is inconvenient to be without your vehicle. We promise to return your vehicle to you as quickly as possibe without compromising the quality of repairs in order to meet a target date.
